AS GENTLE AS YOU, JERRY

I hung out with Jerry this morning. He kept me company while I washed and dried kitty bowls and litter boxes. He said, "I didn't think you'd be coming by today because I heard something about a big snow storm."

I said, "The snow storm is coming tomorrow, but don't worry because you'll be safe and warm in the kitchen."

We bobbed heads as usual and then Jerry said, "I want to talk to you about something serious. I heard Matthew say that Emily's kitty, Dolce died upstairs in her home and that he had to cremate the dead kitty and give the ashes to Emily.

"Well, that's true," I said. "I would have told you myself, Jerry, but you've been sort of down recently and I didn't want to upset you."

"That's okay," Jerry replied. "Anyways, I heard about it and am glad that Matthew was the one who took care of Dolce. He's such a kind and gentle person."

"You're so right about that, Jerry Boy!!" I patted him on the head and said, "As gentle as you, Jerry buddy."

Before I left for the day, I hung up a little felt Valentine's heart on the wall next to Jerry and gave him a BIG HUG!

He purred and rolled around on his blanket.
